Three days a week, Michael Barfield climbs to the rooftop track at the Medical University of South Carolina for "Boot Camp". Lead by U.S. Marine Corps Drill Instructors, its as tough as it sounds.
Michael brings the same level of discipline to his law practice as he does to boot camp. Barnwell Whaley's most recent member, he has developed a substantial real estate practice focused on the fractional ownership industry in addition to his practice in the areas of professional negligence, construction litigation, commercial litigation, property related litigation and personal injury.
A graduate of Furman University (BA), Mr. Barfield received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina. While in law school, Mr. Barfield was the Articles Editor on the student editorial board of the ABA Real Property, Probate and Trusts Journal; and a member of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity.
Mr. Barfield is active in the Charleston community as a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Mark United Methodist Church, and serves as Attorney Coach of West Ashley High School Mock Trial Team.
