Randell C. Stoney, Jr., a certified mediator and arbitrator, continues the tradition of practicing law in Charleston started by his grandfather close to 100 years ago.  For over 28 years, he has focused his law practice on premises and product liability, construction law and litigation, and general liability. He holds an AV Martindale-Hubbell rating*, representing the highest level of professional excellence, and is listed in both the 2008 and 2009 editions of Super Lawyers as one of the top attorneys in the state of South Carolina.
 
Stoney, who received his undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston (B.A.) and his J.D. from Campbell University, has served as both assistant ninth circuit solicitor for Charleston County and as deputy solicitor for Berkeley County in South Carolina. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the South Carolina Defense Trial Lawyers Association, and the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC). Over the years, he has been actively involved with the American Cancer Society, and he has served on the board of directors for Goodwill Industries and for the Preservation Society of Charleston, as chairman of the Commissioners of the Pilotage for the Port of Charleston, and as junior warden of St. John’s Berkeley, where he is still active. He is a current member of the alumni board at the College of Charleston and the advisory board for the Center for Heirs Property, an element of the Coastal Community Foundation.
