Products liability
Barnwell Whaley represents individuals and businesses in litigation involving the design, manufacture and sale of alleged defective products.
The types of products have ranged in size and diversity from a hand-held lighter to large aircraft and have included consumer products, power tools, agricultural machinery and goods such as fertilizer and seed, industrial and heavy construction equipment, including cranes and forklifts, automobiles and automobile components, and materials which are subject to mass tort litigation such as asbestos.
Many of the attorneys in this practice area are not only experienced litigators, they have technical backgrounds, including several engineering disciplines and natural sciences degrees, enabling them to discuss the intricacies of products with business scientists, and communicate those issues to a jury.
